In my quest to sew sustainably, I’ve accumulated a list of resources that can help us all use a little less, and use what’s easier for the Earth to handle (links below). As part #MIYMarch19, I posed the usual questions, this time about Swedish pattern tracing paper. What it’s made of? Does it biodegrade? Can I throw it in my unusable scrap pile without feeling perpetually guilty? Why is it termed “Swedish?” Turns out Patterntrace is a compostable Swedish tracing paper made of Apaca fibres offered by Creative Industry. Who would have thought? But, um, awesome! Why it’s called “Swedish?” I’m still researching!
